Happy Earth Day! Now Let’s Eat

How are you celebrating Earth Day? Me, I’m using it as a convenient excuse to get fresh with produce. A bountiful farmers market just thrills me, so I’m really looking forward to the special Earth Day Farmers Market taking place in LA’s Koreatown on Thursday, April 22. It is organized by the good people at Raw Inspiration, operator of some of the most geographically desirable markets in greater LA, including Larchmont Village, Melrose Place, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades and the Americana at Brand in Glendale.

The market takes place at Wilshire Center, 3700 Wilshire Blvd., from 11 am-3 pm. Much more than just a great farmers market, the event is a full-scale festival with music, booths, kids activities and more. It’s part of the L.A. citywide car-free campaign on Earth Day, so they encourage you to come by foot, bike, bus or train. E-waste recycling and tree giveaways, too.

See videos and more here and make plans to be there.

  1. I was there last year! It was fun. I live just a few blocks away. But for those who live on the LA subway route, the Wilshire/Western station is half a block from this event.
